As per reports another aircraft carrying maintenance technicians, airport customer service agents and new set of crew helped the transfer of stranded passengers to Seattle.
A Delta spokesman Drake Castaneda confirmed that the at around 10 pm Monday local time the passengers took an alternative aircraft from Shemya and arrived in Seattle.
The airlines apologized for the delay and said that safety was of prime concern.
A passenger took to twitter where he exclaimed that he was grateful for being alive, they lost an engine and landed on A US air force base in Alaska in the middle of the ocean.
After waiting for 12 hours another plane was sent by Delta from Seattle to pick and they were back finally.
According to another media the plane was a Boeing 767-300ER .
